Appigo Sync for Mac is no longer available as a synchronization option in Todo or Todo for iPad.

We have made a decision to retire Appigo Sync for Mac and will no longer add any additional features to it. This decision is based on a number of reasons which we will explain here.

• There are now better synchronization options. When we originally introduced Appigo Sync for Mac, there was no other solution to synchronize to the desktop so we built it as a Wi-Fi solution. We also had little manpower to build anything more sophisticated. As time has gone on, we've added additional synchronization options such as iCloud, Dropbox, Toodledo, and now Todo Pro.
• We want to avoid customer confusion. From the initial launch of Appigo Sync for Mac, a large number of our customers were confused on what Appigo Sync does and how to configure it. From the perspective of quickly installing a nice Todo app and synchronizing tasks, the barrier to entry is very high when using Appigo Sync, and usually requires explanation about network configuration, etc. While this process has become easier over time, we feel the app does not provide the seamless synchronization we want associated with the Todo apps.

Our focus as we move forward is to spend the majority of our time making the Todo Pro service be a complete task management solution that performs very well. Attempting to synchronize Todo tasks into systems that cannot support the full features available in Todo not only does not work, but it causes further confusion and frustration for customers.

You can continue to use your current version of Appigo Sync for Mac if it is working for you. However, please make sure to not update Todo or Todo for iPad if this is your desire as the option will be removed after December 31, 2012.

Appigo Sync for Windows

Appigo Sync for Windows is still an option for customers wishing to sync over their local Wi-Fi network directly to Microsoft Outlook. Download the latest update of Appigo Sync for Windows from the Todo product page (www.appigo.com/todo).

Solution for Business Customers: Todo® Exchange Tasks

Earlier this year, we released a new app, Todo® Exchange Tasks, specifically to provide a solution for Exchange users. This app is designed to use all the normal Exchange terminology and task fields that people are familiar with. This app is our recommended solution for Outlook and Exchange users (requires a Microsoft Exchange server).
